Professional
Hagmeier began his career in Salina, Kansas, graduating from Sacred Heart High School and attending Marymount College, where he met his wife, Nadyne. He moved to Topeka in 1980 to join AAA Glass Services, becoming general manager a year later. In 1984, he transitioned to New York Life Insurance Corporation, quickly earning his Registered Representative license and LUTCF designation. Over the next several decades, he focused on supporting small business owners, professionals, and executives with retirement planning and asset management. An active member of the Topeka Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) since 1984, Hagmeier served on numerous committees and as board president in 2001.
Hagmeier remains active in mentoring, advising, and serving the organizations and people who have shaped his life and career.
Personal
Hagmeier’s commitment to service extends well beyond his professional life, touching nearly every community he’s part of. From 2017 to 2020, he served as chairman at Christ the King Catholic Church, after previously chairing the Pastoral Council at Holy Name Catholic Church from 1987 to 1991. His leadership has been especially visible in his parish work, where he’s managed finances and organized large-scale fundraising campaigns.
His impact isn’t limited to church activities. As a board member of the National Kidney Foundation of Northeast Kansas and chairman of its Kansas Trail Ride for five years, Hagmeier brought a hands-on approach to organizing annual fundraisers and supporting the foundation’s mission. He’s also played an active role in the Masonic and Shriners communities, overseeing major building projects, advising on investments, and championing youth programs like Kansas DeMolay.
Across all these roles – as chairman, president, and club leader – Hagmeier has dedicated thousands of volunteer hours, with a special focus on improving the lives of children served by Shriners Children’s. His service is woven into everything he does, showing a genuine commitment to making a difference wherever he’s needed.
Hagmeier and his wife have built a life rooted in faith, service, and community. Over 37 years of involvement in the fraternity, he counts the friendships formed with families and the ability to witness firsthand the life-changing work of Shriner’s Children’s as his greatest rewards.
