Familiarize yourself with key terminology and concepts crucial for effective communication within the Shrine community. Take charge of your personal information by updating and maintaining accurate member records, and promoting transparency and trust within your chapter.

Explore a rich library of resources designed for continuous learning and support. Utilize the support interface for expert assistance with the FIS Team. Gain insight into managing legacy data, ensuring all historical records are integrated and accessible. Navigate BASN, MDS and WebFez to oversee comprehensive member management and data tracking.

Discover various Life Purchase options available to members. Learn how to manage dues notice process to ensure timely communications to the temple’s Nobility. Finally, understand how to organize and manage Clubs and Units, membership and officers, and fostering engagement and camaraderie within the Shrine.

Upon completion of this course, learners will be able to:

  • WebFez Registration and Access Mastery: Demonstrate secure registration, login and password reset for effective member management.
  • Efficient Record Navigation: Proficiently navigate member records to support smooth chapter tracking membership data and day-to-day operations.
  • Effective Communication: Use key terminology to enhance communication and foster collaboration within the Shrine community.
  • Accurate Record Maintenance: The practice of consistently keeping records up-to-date, complete and free from errors by meticulously documenting all relevant information, regularly reviewing and verifying data, and implementing systems to prevent discrepancies, ensuring the information is reliable.
  • Resource Utilization and Troubleshooting: Use the library for resources and WebFez support interface for requesting training and requesting support for data corrections, etc.
  • Comprehensive Member Management: Navigate MDS, WebFez and the Member Center site to manage member information and personal content, processing petitions for membership, and Club and Unit members and officers.

Program Structure:

  1. Complete On-Demand Modules: Learners will begin by reviewing each on-demand module offered in the Shriner U FIS Apprentice course at their own pace.
  2. Attend the Learning Lab: After completing the on-demand coursework, learners will register for and attend a one-hour virtual Shriner U FIS Apprentice Learning Lab. This session offers an opportunity to apply newly-acquired skills in a hands-on environment.
  3. Join the Virtual Roundtable: The course concludes with a one-hour virtual roundtable, where participants will engage in peer-to-peer learning and thought exchange to explore best practices. Registration for this session is required.
