Shari Battles, CEO, Scars of Hope
Shari Battles is a transformational speaker, certified life coach and community leader with a passion for inspiring growth, healing and purpose. She serves as the CEO of Scars of Hope LLC, president of the nonprofit Scars of Hope Outreach, and program director of CASA Marion County – three roles that collectively reflect her mission-driven approach to leadership and service.
With more than a decade of experience in empowerment, advocacy and community-based programming, Shari brings a unique blend of personal resilience and professional insight to every platform she touches. Her coaching and consulting company, Scars of Hope LLC, provides life coaching, keynote speaking and leadership development services.
She is known for equipping individuals with practical tools to overcome adversity, rediscover identity and walk confidently in purpose.
As president of Scars of Hope Outreach, Shari oversees programming that serves survivors of trauma, women in transition, justice-involved individuals and at-risk youth. The organization focuses on healing, empowerment and social reintegration through mentorship, workshops and strategic partnerships. Her outreach efforts have led to measurable impact in the areas of prevention, education and advocacy.
In her role as program director for CASA Marion County, Shari leads initiatives that support domestic violence prevention and strengthen families through education and outreach. She develops and facilitates community training, supervises staff and volunteers, and builds coalitions across agencies and sectors. Her leadership ensures that CASA’s services remain responsive, effective and inclusive.
Shari is also the host of Winning With Battles, a faith-based radio broadcast on AngelWord Network 107.9 FM and digital platforms, where she shares strategies to help individuals “Identify, Face, and Overcome” life’s most difficult challenges. Her voice resonates across generations and backgrounds, bridging practical wisdom with compassionate truth.
She has served as a featured speaker at empowerment summits, reentry conferences, youth development programs and women’s leadership forums. Her engaging style combines personal storytelling, actionable insights and audience interaction – creating experiences that educate, inspire and transform.
In recognition of work at CASA Marion, Shari and her staff were honored with the Purple Ribbon Award for Organizational Hope Story of the Year, celebrating her and her team's commitment to prevention and survivor support. She continues to lead with empathy, authenticity and excellence – creating safe spaces for others to rise above pain and pursue purpose.
