Bone Lengthening Device
Bone lengthening device, circa 1930s
This device was used in the early years of Shriners Children’s to lengthen the bones of patients with limb length discrepancies. While technology has advanced, the process of lengthening a bone is not very different in concept than it was when this device was used. It is on display at Shriners Children’s Shreveport.
