Shriners Hospitals for Children — Salt Lake City is pleased to announce the recognition of Elwin and Terry Studebaker for their tremendous philanthropic support. On December 7, the Studebakers were honored at the hospital with a plaque recognizing their support of over $500,000. Scott Andersen, chairman of the Board of Governors, Kevin Martin, hospital administrator, and Phoenix, a patient ambassador born with club feet, shared their appreciation in recognizing the Studebakers. Shriners Hospitals for Children — Salt Lake City staff is truly grateful for the ongoing partnership with the Studebakers, and thanks them for their amazing support and Elwin’s service on the Board of Governors.

Elwin has been a Shriner since 1983, and in 1993 he was Potentate of Kerak Temple when the Northern California Shriners Hospitals for Children was dedicated. Elwin’s background in finance and planning have been truly valuable to the hospital’s Board of Governors. He was the COO of International Game Technology (IGT), and served as a key financial advisor to Si Redd (IGT founder) while he was developing the Oasis Resort in Mesquite, Nevada, and the Mesquite Vistas Land Development Company. Terry is a CPA, and worked for various accounting firms throughout her career. Elwin and Terry enjoy traveling, and currently live in Arizona. Elwin has been a member of the Shriners Hospitals for Children — Salt Lake City Board of Governors since 2017.
