Shriners Legacy Program

Thursday, June 30, 2011

Since 1872, Shriners International has been a fraternity based on fun, fellowship and the Masonic principles of brotherly love, truth and relief. To encourage families to continue this historic tradition from one generation to the next, Shriners International will be launching the Shriners Legacy Program this fall.

“From beashrinernow.com we have noticed an overwhelming number of people want to join the fraternity so they can have the opportunity to be a part of the same brotherhood as their father, grandfather, or other family member,” said Randy Rudge, membership development director of Shriners International. This program is designed to create awareness and inspire families to participate in legacies, carrying on the tradition their family started.”

The Shriners Legacy program is open to any male family member related to a Shriner, including:

  • Fathers
  • Sons
  • Grandfathers
  • Grandsons
  • Brothers
  • Nephews
  • In-Laws

Individuals who become part of the Shriners Legacy program will be eligible to wear a special pin that represents the family’s pride in their Shriner heritage. In addition, they will be able to participate in a variety of fun events and activities. Temples will be hosting Shrine Legacy nights to honor those participating in the Legacy Program and to encourage others to do the same. Information about the program will be available soon at shrinersvillage.com. To learn more about joining the fraternity, please visit beashrinernow.com.
