How can you make a positive change in the lives of children? CBS 13 and Good Day Sacramento (CW31) invite you to count the ways. For the 4th consecutive year, the CBS regional news network has joined local businesses and Shriners Hospitals for Children — Northern California to promote Change for Change, a community campaign to raise awareness and funds to support the hospital. Change for Change takes place April 7 - 13, and you too can participate. Each day one of the Change for Change sponsors will give customers an opportunity to participate in special fundraisers:

- April 7-13:  “Like” Furniture USA on Facebook.  (facebook.com/FurnitureUSA) and they will donate $1 to Shriners Hospital for every new “Like”!
- April 8: Decide to dine at Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, and they will donate one dollar from every purchase to Shriners Hospitals for Children
- April 9: Visit Papa Murphy’s and purchase their Signature Pepperoni Pizza for $5 and a portion of the proceeds benefit Shriners Hospital for Children.

For details on all events and locations of participating sponsors go online to CBSSacramento.com and GoodDaySacramento.com.

As prelude to the actual Change for Change events, CBS 13 scheduled a series of news features to air March 31 through April 4. The compelling stories educate viewers in Sacramento, Stockton and Modesto about the complex, compassionate care that is the hallmark of Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Over the years, Change for Change has raised more than $100,000 to benefit children served by the Shriners Hospital in Sacramento. Please watch Good Day Sacramento on Tuesday, April, 15th to see the amount of money raised during the 2014 Change for Change campaign.
