Dale W. Stauss, Imperial Assistant Rabban
Dale W. Stauss of Grand Forks, N.D., is serving his eighth year as a member of the Boards of Directors for Shriners International and Shriners Hospitals for Children®. Stauss was elected Imperial Assistant Rabban, part of the 13-member body that helps govern the Shriners fraternity, during the Shriners’ 2011 Imperial Session – held in Denver July 3-7.
Stauss graduated from the University of North Dakota and has been involved in the real-estate-management field for more than 25 years. He recently retired from Century Properties, Inc., a property-management company, after serving as its president for 22 years.
Stauss is a member of the Scottish Rite and served as Master of Red River Lodge #292 in East Grand Forks in 1987. Stauss joined Kem Shriners in 1982 and served as Potentate in 1997. He is a member of the Kem Drum and Bugle Corps, and he served on the board of the North Dakota Shrine Bowl for 16 years. In 1995, Stauss was awarded the Samsar Award for his service to Kem Shriners. He was a member of the Imperial Sports Committee from 1995-2004 and is currently serving as chairman of that committee. Stauss serves on the Imperial Membership Committee, the Building and Equipment Committee and the Planning Committee.
His civic activities include serving more than 20 years on the East Grand Forks School Board in East Grand Forks, Minn., as well as serving on the 2000 Minnesota All-State School Board.
He and his wife, Cheryl have three daughters, one son and 10 grandchildren. They enjoy spending their spare time with the family at their lake cabin.
