Noble George A. Vieck Named Shriner of the Month

Thursday, January 22, 2015

Noble George A. Vieck of Hadi Shriners in Evansville, Ind., has been named Shriner of the Month for January 2015. The award program was developed by the leadership of Shriners International to honor outstanding nobles who demonstrate an extraordinary commitment to both the fraternity and its philanthropy, Shriners Hospitals for Children.

A Strong Representative for Shriners International and Shriners Hospitals for Children

Noble Vieck of Vincennes, Ind., became a member of Hadi Shriners and the Knox County Shrine Club in 2006. For the past nine years, he has been very active in the fundraising efforts of the Knox County Shrine Club, including its bucket brigades and clothing sales. He recently organized a Hadi Shriners Circus campaign that included bringing a circus parade wagon and clowns to the local farmers’ market. He also works tirelessly to arrange publicity for local media outlets.

Every Saturday since last May, Noble Vieck has supplied free coffee and iced tea at the farmers’ market. He uses his time there to chat with the locals and raise awareness of both Shriners Hospitals for Children and Shriners International. People often ask questions about becoming a Shriner, renewing their membership, or how to become active, and Noble Vieck is dependably there to guide them. He also takes the opportunity to collect donations to help with patient transportation.

A Helpful Hand Throughout the Community

Noble Vieck is frequently seen driving a mini-corvette parade car with the Knox County Shrine Club in the many parades around the area, bringing recognition and good will to both the fraternity and its philanthropy. He is exceptionally active in his community, and is always quick to assist in any fraternal projects that could use his help.

Noble Vieck is a full-time employee at Miller Construction, working as a mechanic. He is also an active member in the Men’s Club, a volunteer group that performs miscellaneous jobs associated with a church, such as mowing the cemetery grounds, cooking and providing help as needed. He and his wife of 33 years, Aggie, have two sons, both college graduates. Noble Vieck and his lady regularly ride their motorcycle to visit their grandchildren, are active in their church, and are both clowns in the Clowns of Old Vincennes.

Noble Vieck has proven to be a model Shriner, and someone for fellow members to emulate. According to Noble Rex W. King, fellow member of Hadi Shriners, “Noble Vieck is a fine example for the Shrine and deserves to be rewarded for his many fine deeds.”

Congratulations to Noble Vieck for his achievements and for being chosen as Shriner of the Month.
